From the International Conference on the Use of Antimicrobials in Cattle Production at Kansas State University, USDA veterinary microbiologist Paula Fedorka-Cray discusses the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System (NARMS), which continually stands watch on the resistance factor associated with  livestock production. She talks about the realities of the issue, saying that to date, the beef cattle industry is doing a solid job of antimicrobial management in herd disease control.
